Visa Key Management Workshop
Visa is offering a one-day Workshop focused on Securing Financial Transactions.
This workshop will encompass an overview of Key Management Practices and other Visa Requirements. This session will provide information on the management of cryptographic keys used in ATMs, PIN pads, cash dispensers and hardware security modules. It will discuss securing the key during various stages in the key lifecycle. The session will also provide information on our PED testing program, VISA Chip requirements, Data Security at the ATM and new technologies at the ATM.
This workshop is for staff involved in the management of operation of ATMs or other devices that accept cardholder personal identification numbers (PINs) and for personnel who need practical knowledge about the elements of data encryption standard (DES) cryptography and the management of secret encryption keys.
This workshop fulfills the requirements for Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), Third Party Services (TPS), and staff from Member financial institutions to attend a VISA workshop annually.

Minimizing Transaction Taxes

The recent GST controversy over interchange highlighted the federal government’s lack of understanding of the way the industry operates. Managing ATM Data Security Requirements in the Internet Age
Topic: The Canadian ATM industry is undergoing a period of technology evolution. Existing ATMs are moving off of the discontinued Datapac network onto faster, less costly broadband networks. With this shift has come the PCI compliance mandate. This session tackles the myths and realities of PCI compliance, as well as the logistics of the Datapac to IP transition, including a cost benefit analysis of various migration strategies.
