Lyle Elias, Chairman, International Payments Forum
A. Lyle Elias began his career in the ATM industry during the early years of off-premises ATM deployment. During his career in the ATM business, Lyle has gained extensive experience in all aspects of the ATM industry including manufacturing, deployment, management, and software development. Lyle is one of the founders of the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA), served as its first president and is a founder of the Global ATM Security Alliance (GASA). Lyle has also served on the board of directors of the Electronic Funds Transfer Association (EFTA).
Lyle continues to be actively involved in ATMIA affairs and is currently the Chairman of the International Payments Forum (IPF), an online community for the international payments industry. IPF has various working groups and initiatives including the ATM Integrated Payments Standards Forum (IPSF) that is comprised of payments industry experts whose mission is to publish industry best practices recommendations for enabling integrated payments through the ATM.
Mike Lee, CEO, ATM Industry Association
Mike Lee is CEO of the ATM Industry Association, a non-profit trade association with more than 1,500 members in about 50 countries. He is also chairman and founder of the Global ATM Security Alliance, which was established in June 2003 to provide international security best practices across the whole ATM lifecycle and to manage a global crime database and fraud alert system. He has founded ATMIA chapters in Europe, Africa, Australasia and Asia. Mike, who is married with two daughters, joined ATMIA following posts as Research and Development Manager, first for South Africa's largest insurance company, Old Mutual, and then for a London-based conference production and publishing company. He won the 2003 award for 'Best Contribution to the ATM Industry, Individual category' at ATMIA's annual industry summit in California for his work in the field of ATM security. In 2008, he obtained a Masters degree in Futures Studies (cum laude) at the Institute for Futures Research at the Graduate School of Business, University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
