ATMs in Africa 2011

The latest innovative trend in the Financial Services Industry is to enable the mobile phone to act as a proxy for a Bank issued card.  In Africa the ratio of Mobile phones to Bank cards is around five to one, depending on the country and is the predominant infrastructure. Recognizing this Absolute Systems is at the forefront on enabling mobile phone based transaction - including ATMs and POS devices which typically require a card to initiate a service.
